At Mainely Mauxies and Doxies we hand raise our puppies at home and spoil them rotten. The puppies are always raised around other dogs, children and cats. They are dewormed, micro chipped, with full vet checks/health certificate, fecal check, health guarantees and their first round of vaccines.

"Mauxie" Maltese Dachshund Hybrid
A Mauxie is a cross between a Dachshund and a Maltese. These hybrid dogs are recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club, and can be registered on their website. They are a unique, small to medium sized dog breed that comes in all shapes and sizes and are usually rare to find.

At Mainely Mauxies and Doxies our Mauxies are 50% Miniature Dachshund and 50% Maltese. Sire, Dexter, is a Purebred Miniature Long Haired Dachshund. Dam, Pigeon, is a purebred Maltese.

A Mauxie takes on the temperament and personality of both the Dachshund and the Maltese. Known to be clever and curious, they love the outdoors and can make great hunting dogs as well. They are a playful breed excellent with children when properly trained. The Mauxie is loyal and protective and makes a perfect addition to any household.
